Let us know if you notice any differences.
It was on that pending screen for ages so I powered off and went in the house. Went back to the car and it said up to date. I have updates set to manual not automatic

Hi @ProximusAl

Lucky you to get an update, and for it to work ? ?

Out of interest, have you had any previous updates and/or failures, or is this the first?

A number of us have had continual "Failed Updates" over the last month or so, and have been trying (unsuccessfully!) to elicit a response from Ford.

Have you checked which version this is for the Car/Sync at all?

Hope you are enjoying the car ??

Cheers
David

This is my first OTA (only had the car a week) and it installed no problems at all. I got a little “inbox” icon at the top of sync. That’s how I noticed it.
As mentioned I don’t have automatic updates turned on. I prefer manual so I know what’s going on.
Sync version is the same as it was before the update

Do you know what revision you are on (is it 263)?

Not had ANY success with OTA updates myself yet either. This is my most recent reply from the Concierge. Not really much help ?‍♂

They also sent me the usual video:

Hi @Mercury8

That's interesting - I've never seen that information before although I know that the smaller updates can be direct to the car with larger ones requiring wifi.

The manual isn't particularly clear either and the video is a complete waste of time !

Not sure about you, but I've never had an "update icon appear" - just the standard notification and message in the FordPass "Message Centre" saying "We'll try again soon". No indication of what update it is or why it failed ?

I've been chasing Ford for over a month now, and spoke again to them this afternoon.

I said there are at least a dozen of us in this position and if they don't reply with something by close tomorrow (even a "it's a problem and we're actively looking at it ..." would be a result) I will go to Plan B

Fingers crossed ?
David

Interesting thing has just happened. I was under the impression that when your car was locked and charging the charge cable was locked into the car and can't be removed. I also thought that by pressing the unlock button in the charge port would release/unlock the cable ONLY when the car was unlocked. Apparently not. I have just done a public charge and just as an exercise thought I would see if you could remove cable with car locked. It would seem you can. I made sure my car was locked, still on charge with my key away from the car. I pressed the release button and hey presto it released the cable from the car. So much for being secure. I could have quite easily released the cable, unplugged it from the car and charger and walked away with it, never to be seen again.

I read that the cable would only unlock if the keys were near the car also. How very strange!!!

Anyone who has successfully fitted the little 3D printed piece to prevent the charger door from opening too far and denting the body, do you have any tips? I fiddled for ages this afternoon and couldn't get it in! I'm hopeless at DIY by the way!!!
