Thank you, that explains it. So it sounds like this recent change replaces the above or is it in addition to the above? The price increase on 2022s was first given, via email, to the people that had 2021s on order that were converted to 2022s. The website didn't show the 2022s until 10/2, and the price was in fact identical to the 2021 price. People that had 2021s on order that were converted to 2022s were notified the first week of October regarding a price increase and the new battery size. That increase was not to base price - hence the reason that the base price didn't change on the Ford website. That increase raised the base price for the premium by $500, and raised the cost of some colors, like Rapid Red Metallic, from $400 to $495. That increase of $595 was offset by the $750 rebate.
When ordering now, my 2021 that was $56,800 (Premium, extended battery, Ruby Red) and was changed to $57,395 (increase of $595 offset by $750 rebate) is now $58,295. That's a net increase over the 2021 price of $1,495.
The $600 price increase being discussed was not on the base model, it was on the package that included BlueCruise prep, which became BlueCruise-installed, on vehicles manufactured in Job 2. If you have a Job 1 vehicle, and upgrade to BlueCruise, then there was no price change, in fact you save $100, when you finally upgrade.
Meaning will 2022 buyers pay an extra $1-2k and then the higher prices for options like paint?
