I apologize in advance if this is a repeat question to the Forum, it is my first. I am wondering if the wrong battery was installed in our Mach-E? We picked up our Premium AWD with the larger 88Kwh battery Friday. The dealer had charged the battery to 100%. When we picked it up the display indicated it had 92% @207 miles, which I noted to the salesman then that seemed low. Salesman said to drive it, then recharge it overnight and let him know the next morning.
That next morning, I saw 100% @ 236 miles, which corresponds to what the smaller 68kwh battery would display. The window sticker and order sheet indicate the larger battery but the dealer inventory sheet that I found online indicates the smaller battery. When you received your Mach-E was this an issue?

Is it cold out where you live? Like below 40s? Do you use heat in the car? if so, welcome to winter. You can put the car’s VIN into various decoders on the internet and verify that you got the right car.

It’s just an estimate, and range generally will be lower in cold/winter weather conditions

Do a master reset on the car. In settings under general.
People need to stop suggesting this. Resetting the trip computer to display (default) values rather than more REAL WORLD values based on actual usage does not increase your range because a different number is displayed on screen.

Secondly search the word GOM in this forum and you will find LITERALLY HUNDREDS of posts explaining that the range displayed by trip computer IS A GUESSTIMATE hence the word GOM which stands for Guess'o Meter. The only accurate way to know what to expect is to charge fully then consume a fixed amount of battery like 10% and extrapolate.

Lastly search the words "cold weather", and you will find hundreds more posts explaining how ANY battery electric vehicle gets LESS RANGE. This is due to battery chemistry being less efficient in colder weather which results in less energy density in the cold. Add to that the energy used to warm and condition the pack, plus what is used to heat the cabin, and you can easily use 20% 40% of your overall capacity just on heat, and not on motion.

With questions like these you will often get allot of snark, and frustration from those who respond because these questions are asked HUNDREDS OF TIMES, and come up every single day. Most of them could simply be avoided by reading, using the search button, and even better doing some actual research to understand what it is your buying before actually pulling the trigger.

See how many kw are added to increase the battery by 10% then multiply by 10. That should give you an idea of your battery capacity.
Totally unnecessary.

I have the GT model and my 100% estimation is 178 miles at 100% charge so your better off than me. Its also cold here and i love to give it the beans. Plus if you search around here, those miles are guessed by the computer. IMO I wouldnt worry about it.
