Welcome home!
Thanks to everyone who has been on this "journey" to learn about the new recall software with me.

I have to think and then decide how to edit my video from my journey down to LA. Going to have to sleep a bit on this and reflect first.

Well, I may have to mention that on Monday if I don't get a response as to next steps. ? I really just want my car back to where it was on May 31st when I dropped it off (minus the screwed up part of course.) I'm willing to be more than reasonable up to a point, but I have yet to receive an apology for any of it. That full PPF wrap on the front probably makes this repair a bit more costly for them.

Grand scheme of things these are minor issues, but yeah the whole spend most ever on a car in your life = this nonsense isn't working for me.

Congrats on the end of your ordeal! Looking forward to my next trip up the grapevine.

You should be getting an attorney at this point.

The power was very linear where no matter if I floored it or not it accelerated at the same rate (I was driving >73mph). I'm sure the "limp mode" ensures you don't induce a wide open throttle (WOT) event that would further damage the car. I have faith in Ford as I have had a major issue with my F150 in the past in which they fixed. IMO, Ford applied the software to identify those vehicles whom are most likely to have a total malfunction due both aggressive driving and faulty parts. I hope that my wife inducing the faults and me having to take it to the dealer will ensure I get the beefier HVBJB's.
So 30 miles traveled and got it up to 70 mph? It was shut down at work in the service mode and it fired back up? What would you say the 0 to 60 time was roughly? What is part X is that version C? Hope your emergency part order is expediated.

Will not call 70 mph limp and dub it service mode ;). Wonder now if it will do 100 miles in service mode. Will it DCFC?

Appears this software if not a false positive does mitigate the situation of being stranded all of a sudden. One would think it would need to be able to drive it for a while to mitigate safety concerns. It buys some time in difficult ones. It would be better traveling knowing that I may just need to turn around and drive the path of shame back not wave down a transport.

Worth accepting this OTA when it comes. If OTA really lags I can get it done next time in. Think this contact welding is heat related and ambient temperature contributes. Being 40 F here this morning thinking we may be good for the summer and more likely that it will stick open in the cold for us.

I had mine done this morning too. Dealer also did Software Update 2.8.2 (I have a Job 2 GTPE). Though they assured me they did both updates, only 2.8.2 is showing up as "Update Successful" in the App, and on the update screen in the car. Not seeing evidence of 22S41 recall update being done at all. Are you seeing confirmation of the 22S41 recall update on your App? Maybe something specific about this fix that doesn't reflect as a normal update?
Sorry for the delayed response @Blusteed. In the Ford Pass app? I'm not seeing any information in my phone app. I have not checked in my car yet if that is what you mean.

Update as of 8July2022: Dealership pulled codes which indicated the HVBJB was the issue. They called Ford for advice on what to do and Ford replied "Replace the HVBJB with part x." The dealership then informed me that the part is on back order (I think someone mentioned this earlier on the Forum) they are going to do a VOR (emergency) order in hopes they will get one expedited. Don't know when it will get fixed. Asked for a loaner for my wife and the dealer stated they don't have any at the moment. Is Ford responsible for providing a drivable vehicle when warranty work is being done??? Any input is appreciated.

BTW: I charge the vehicle with LVL II 30amp I installed in my garage and only charge to 90%. Never have I DCFC'd it.
Update as of 9July2022:

Shout out to Cooper Ford in Carthage NC, they are a small EV dealer in my area and their customer service is top notch. They gave me a loaner off the lot while they fix our MME GT. The service manager informed me the HVBJB part number has changed no less than six times and the current part number to replace the HVBJB is not on backorder. This was after the VOR (emergency) request to Ford to get the before mentioned HVBJB. Looks like Ford is trying to fix the problem in affected cars. Hopefully @scoopman's car stands the test and is the example of an actual fix......MTF.

Concur with calling it service mode. Yes, 30miles with the highest speed >70mph. Wife shut the vehicle off at work and when I went to get it, turned back on with service car soon and the wrench. Don't have the current replacement part number...the service manager told me this am that the part number has changed six times and that the current replacement part is not on backorder. When I get it I'll post the part#.

Man, the anxiety I feel now is unreal. I’m reluctant to turn off the car in case of SSN. On the ferry right now and I’m fretting about what a PITA it would be to try to get my stuck car off of the boat and everyone pissed at me stuck behind me.

Is it ok, normal even, to leave the car on for the length of a ferry ride?

Oh you can just put it in tow mode and push it overboard if needed.... Seriously though I know the feeling of anxiety you must have.

Just don't play children's music in your car right now. That could set it off.
