It’s a good one, for sure, but I still prefer “Duke Nukem!”I saw this thread and immediately thought “what a cool comic book character name.”

And definitely don't try to "be nice" and not claim the diminished value on this. At least in the 1 example I have, a friend tried to claim diminished value when someone side swiped her car. Damage to both front and rear fenders and both doors. She pursued the diminished value but they said since the car had been in a minor accident previously she couldn't claim diminished value. Diminished value could only be claimed on the first damage claim for a car.Look into diminished value claims in your state. I had a bit less damage and on top of their insurance covering the repair, I got a check for about 15% of the value of the vehicle.
Of course it’s something I had to bring up, though they didn’t fight me on it at all.
Link?So sorry this happened. You did everything right and made sure they knew about the Jack points. It's now up to their insurer and I am sure the car will be restored to new. Accidents and incompetence happen. The Ioniq 5 can only be lifted on a 2" location front and 2" rear on a Pinch Weld. I have to always remind folks of that and I bought the jack adapter for home. For home, with my Mach E I had perfect 4" "rubber GE clothes washer vibration pucks" that fit perfectly on the Mach E in the desired lift point. I gave them to a friend with a solid oak 4"x4" block as well so he could install his snows without worry. I hope you the best resolution and be sure to make sure the repair is perfect. There is a lot of paint "blending" that has to occur.
Sorry they were left over from a Washer I gave away 2 years ago. I bought them 6 years ago. I will see if I can find it.... they were these. Very dense rubber and stackable. This is what they were...... Me being thrifty, I bought them off from Ebay for under $20.Link?

Bummer, Tim. I hope they can fix it fast. Does the door still open and close ok?On another road trip to Las Vegas this week. Just as we're exiting I-15 a block from our hotel, the TPMS message pops up with the front-left tire showing 30psi. Dropped to 27 just at the stoplight. Pulled into the hotel lot and looked, and could hear air hissing out. Checked Google Maps in a hurry and found there was a Discount Tire a block away. Figured I could make it there so got there before it was fully flat. Parked out front.
The guy said they'd probably just jack it up where I parked since ot was safely out of the way and would be flat soon. We left it there. 90 minutes later they called to say the tire was repaired (picked up a screw), but they damaged the car with the jack. Walked over and they were very apologetic and already filled out the paperwork for a claim to pay for the damage. Their claims people will call me tomorrow to make arrangements.
The jack slipped off the lift rail, and the weight of the car came down on the outer trim, crunching it and the driver door. It appears they lifted just forward of the designated spot between the triangle marks, probably landing on the forward bolt then slipping off.
Seems to, except the edge of the deformed door panel binds slightly on the edge of the fender panel when I open the door to about the halfway point. It just catches it a little then "pops" past it, but it'll quickly wear the paint off if I do that many times so I'm opening the door just 40% to slip in and out.Bummer, Tim. I hope they can fix it fast. Does the door still open and close ok?
You drilled a hole and screwed them in?These would have helped keep the jack from sliding. They even come in almost-Grabber Blue.
Almost-Rapid Red, too

Conceptually, sure. Pull it out, put plug in, fill with air.
Now it looks more like a Tesla off the factory floor with the panel gaps!!!
In all seriousness that stinks. All they had to do was roll the car back or front til they see the nail or screw. Shouldn't even need to jack it up.
