I wouldn't count on it since you had yours replaced proactively while your car is still under warranty. Doesn't hurt to ask though. ;)
I really don’t care if they do or not. I got the part cheap and replaced even cheaper so it wasn’t a big deal. When I get some time next month I’ll look into it.

Interesting this is exactly what they have done in Germany for years.

It is a form of taxation, but for sure when little children are killed it is a mess.

People have the wrong sense of what German driving is. Ultimately it is highly disciplined, and don't f--- around.

In high (human) traffic zones, the speed limit is about 30k, or 20 mph ... And if you are caught drinking and driving, it is a loss of license for life.

They even hide the cameras in the back of automobiles. There is no escaping them. I got one ticket this last trip. Just for accelerating out of roundabout. Like I said, it is amazing difficult to avoid. Be aware, the autobahn is a tiny fraction of what the Germany experience is like.
Oh yes I remember... especially when the polizei accelerate around you, get in front turn on their lights and rapidly slow down to a stop ahead of you, forcing you physically to stop. Ask me how I know... ??

My car came back to life today with it responding to the Ford Pass app after having the HVBJB replaced. My service tech notified me that my car would be ready some time next week which makes me wonder if they are waiting for the SW updates to be provided to them from Ford? He did not know anything but I am hoping that is the case.

Update: HVBJB failure on Saturday (10/14). Car dropped at dealership on Sunday (10/15). Car is still there and I'm stuck with an Edge as a loaner. This sucks. The work to replace the HVBJB was done on Tuesday (10/17) BUT the car threw up an error code regarding the rear drive assembly.

What's weird is, according to the service department, the EV tech did not mess with the rear drive assembly. As of end of day yesterday (Friday) Ford's engineers and the tech are trying to figure out how to clear the error. Sheeba is being held hostage over software.

Sheeba is my only vehicle and I live alone. In order to get to work and get around over the past week, I used a mix of my girlfriend's new Maverick Hybrid, rides from my Tesla driving coworker (who happens to live near me) and now have an Edge as a loan from the dealership. After all that, I cannot wait to get my MME back.

The Maverick was probably the nicest experience so far. It's a Lariat. Android Auto, ACC, walk up unlock, push to start and it idles on the battery (super quiet in parking lots).

The Tesla "taxi" is a first edition Model 3. Without making any adjustments, the seats are not terribly comfortable. Back is is awful (same can be said of my other coworker's 2022 MY PE). Ride is kind of harsh but leaps and bounds better than the...

Ford Edge. Ugh, sluggish, lots of body roll. It does have walk up unlock and a large center display almost identical to the MME. And I have to see the touch screen in the Edge is much faster and more response than my car. That I don't get at all. But driving the Edge from the dealership back to work reminded me why I will never go back to ICE. Okay, sure an Edge is not the pinnacle of ICE engineering but it doesn't matter. I still can't fuel up an AMG Mercedes in my garage.

About the loaner. My dealer originally told me they had zero loaners. Actually, perhaps on Saturday (when I first contacted them about the HVBJB) they did not. Fast forward to yesterday. I am divorced but get along just fine with my ex. I have my son on weekends. I told my ex I might not have a car this weekend. She was like, get a loaner. I told her they didn't have one. She's like, give me their number. At this point I was thinking, oh God they are going to light Sheeba on fire . Fifteen minutes later I get a text from my ex telling me they "found" me a loaner. She admits she is much more of a bitch than I am (I am too nice).

The service department is open today but I was told they did not think the EV tech would finish working through the troubleshooting process until the beginning of the week. I do not know how forum members go for weeks or months without their MME due to lengthy repairs. The separation anxiety is killing me! :p

I really hope when the 30,000 or so MME's come in for the recall replacement of the HVBJB, it goes smoother than my experience has been.

UPDATE (only moments after posting the above):
I decided to check the Ford Pass app and saw this for the first time since the alert originally showed up a week ago (address is my dealership not home address). Hoping this also means no rear drive errors. Fingers crossed.

Ah, hmm, check out my posts. I wonder if they ran into a similar issue as my service team did (software issue).

I disagree, since failure isn't a requirement. He will get full reimbursement.

Is it just my thinking or has a lot of ‘long time’ members on this forum been having failures lately? (It’s starting to feel that way if not)

you’re not imagining it and it’s a big red flag over the HVBJB problem. We’re not seeing just new accounts that join and then topic-bomb the issue but instead it’s lots of long time members who post about their dead junction boxes.

Wow, I wish I could have borrowed your ex when they told me they don’t give loaners…

But yeah, lots of us with failures recently it seems.

From my perspective it has been a fairly steady stream of reports. Fortunately for the most part they are not failures but indications of potential failure (SVS) accompanied by reduced power. I always figured I would get the alarm someday but I do not worry about it. I am glad Ford is now doing the changeout as a recall as I will be able to schedule a time and not have to wait! (Assuming the recall and parts roll out before I have an issue) 19 months and issue free at this point and I am more worried that I will start having issues after I take it in for the recall.

Don’t thank Ford (I know you didn’t thank them) thank those (especially forum members) who screamed bloody murder and the federal agency that forced the issue

Yeah, there are dealers who are incapable of scheduling a tire rotation before May 2024, let alone a bunch of HVBJB replacements.
Funny that you mention that. I should probably have my tires rotated (at 8K miles) but wasn’t sure where to have it done given concerns about getting it up on a lift. Now wondering if I should have the dealer do it when they replace the HVBJB. Only problem is, who knows when that will be?

My HVBJB failed on Friday the 13th of October, was at the dealer Monday, was ready Friday. Very happy to have my car back and the service experience was great.

I do agree it seems like a lot of HVBJB failure have happened in the last week, which is odd.
