Cannot wait to test this with one adapter and 3 EVs, will it work for all brands, that is the question.
does it really matter? This is the type of thing you leave in the car so it’s available when you need it. I suspect there won’t be any real difference between this and current after market offerings. I just want to know that it will handle level 3 DC and level 2 AC auto switching like Tesla does, so we can actually charge the battery properly to any charge level.

They need to push a map update to the nav to see applicable tesla chargers.
strange. My wife’s Mach-e shows Tesla chargers. They just don’t work so they are filtered out.

The SC adapter that is being talked about in this thread will not be able to provide you AC charging from a Tesla Wall or Destination L2 charger.
There are no pins that connect into the J-1772 part of the combo port.

I think this is mostly due to Ford's inability to figure out how to give discounted rates to P&C users (i.e., incompetence), rather than anything malicious like wanting to make BOCN a profit center. A few members were able to get the discounted rate back when the $50/year rate was first introduced (I was/am one of the lucky few).
No, that's not the reason.

And it will continue to be questioned until they finally make it happen. Promises from an automaker are as empty as a dried up lake.
Nah. It will be questioned for years AFTER it's in place, because a good percentage of people driving vehicles (gas, electric, diesel, pedal) shouldn't be.

Don't know how many times people will keep bringing this up, but you will NOT be able to use the same adapter for DC fast charging at a Tesla SuperCharger and level 2 charging at a Tesla Destination Charger. Will NOT.

No OTA. It has nothing to do with a module update. The app appears on the home page, it's server-based. Have you rebooted Sync at any point?
I have not had to reboot in a long time, which is a good thing, but I will try that. It is not currently not on my home page, I keep looking for it after each OTA.

It matters to me, I plan on trying the Ford adapter, with my other two EVs. This should be the first adapter I can get.

Pay for one app?
I assume BOCN will not be free much longer because it’s a subscription service. Maybe a different way of saying it is for those of us who DCFC regularly, it is worth paying the $12 to Tesla to get a per kilowatt-hour discount vs paying the standard rate through BOCN. I pay EVgo $12.99 to get their discount.

There is no basis for thinking that BOCN won't always be free. Not a hint that it will be a fee-service.
Anyone should do the math to see if Tesla at $12 a month makes sense for the discount, just like they do for any other network. On the right trip, it might make sense. On an annual basis, you need to do a lot of driving.

EA's discount makes sense for us 3 or 4 times a year.

I don't see the prices for most Tesla chargers on Ford or Plugshare. So, you're still going to need the Tesla app to check the prices.

It's a subscription service so that you can give them your credit card.

I just rebooted Sync, still no joy. The app is not in my car.

I think Tesla does not yet support ISO 15118, so they cannot support P&C for non-Teslas. They are probably using the EVGO Autocharge+ technique, read the MAC address of the car.
tesla does support ISO 15118 - it works in EU just fine along with magic dock deployments here in NA.

the ISO 15118 spec is more than just Plug&Charge. yes, tesla does its own authorization on its own cars in the US and it probably isn't ISO 15118's Plug&Charge which would generally require them to allow passthrough to an external authorization+payment provider.
