Ford to begin shipping Lectron NACS adapter to customers

Youtube had that with Gemini. But then they take it away. I just wrote a Python script that transcribes a video, generates screenshots, makes a PDF of the transcription with the screenshots, and then use an AI model to write a summary of each section. But, I don't know how to download Youtube videos so that I can run my script on it!

Off topic, but I think Download is an option for Premium subscribers. I have never used it, so I cannot say what you get.

A2Z is Canadian
.Lectron is US but manufactured in China.

All I know is that I prefer A2Z - very well made, heavy and solid.
Hasn't failed in over 6 months of heavy use.

I hight suspect A2Z is also made in China. When I was researching that "Tesla fast charging extension cord", they post images of their test bench. All the signs were in Chinese. Also some of their product descriptions read like they were written by AI, which I'll interpret as another sign of engineering and manufacturing being based in China.

Its perfectly fine that they are designed and made in China, as long as the appropriate groups rigorously test it for quality.

Why Lectron over A2Z? Lectron probably gave Ford a cheaper per adapter bid and supply time that was acceptable to Ford.

No one has posted any info. Ford has around 115,000 backorders....

OMG.

No. You're fine if you didn't get an email. If you wonder if you should have received an email - did you get your adapter in June? No. Then you have no issue.

The A2Z works fine. I've been using the Typhoon Pro pretty much since it came out. I highly recommend it over waiting.

@dcbr Ford is selling its adapter for $200. You can also get it with a MY25 vehicle purchase by buying it with the mobile charger bundle for $600.

Just saw this from State of Charge.

Ford will now be shipping the Lectron CCS1 to NACS adapter to customers.

I wonder why the OEMs don't seem to like A2Z.

ETA: I tried to find a Ford release on this, but the best I have so far I got from Mach-E VLog, and that is a listing on the adapter on the Ford site (currently showing as sold out)

Congrats to Ford for getting this done.

I'm just happy Ford is getting in gear and ramping up with more approved suppliers!
