Backup noise: I am sure was mandated by oil interests. Heck, my old Taurus (or most cars) are nearly silent with stock exhaust, but no back up beeper. With the windows always closed, I never realized it was so loud.

The back up and low speed noise was mandated by Congress during the G.W. Bush administration as EV’s are rather quiet and can be a hazard to the visually impaired or the situationally visually impaired (such as bicyclists).

As much as many of us like to think our ice vehicles are quiet, they’re not once they’re out of park and moving. EVs stay quiet until tire noise becomes the dominant noise around 20 mph.

You need to keep your cameras clean, bruh! The 360 is the way to go. And I live smack dead in the middle of the city with tons of curbs all over.

Check the settings to see if you have Driver Profiles turned on or off. If you're the only driver, it's better just to turn it off. The profiles sometimes don't load properly, causing things like drive mode and audio settings to revert back to some default. But if you turn Driver Profiles off, it just leaves all settings in place from how you last left them.

I turned mine off in 2021 to avoid that problem and rarely have that particular quirk anymore.

I pressed the auto symbol, but there is no settings button on the screen. The screen's owners manual does not say anything about driver or personal profile. I have a 2024 Premium with no additional packages. Was this an option?

The only thing I found was "easy enter/exit" under "vehicle". The info said something about seat adjustment. It was turned off.

Easy: have your front pax open their window and wipe the camera clean. ???‍. Joking.

It just seems that the world has moved on from tilting the mirrors. You can still program it as you probably know. It just takes some gymnastics to make it happen.

My wife always believed intuitively that the 360 degree camera is useless. That is until she tried it and fell in love w/ it. I’m not here to convince you that you don’t have a problem. Only you can decide that.

I did get to the personal profiles page. It asked me to set up a profile. Apparently, it had never been done, so no profile to access. I think I'll leave it that way. Thanks

A few annoyances not listed here:
* The steering wheel heating goes to "hot" mode only at the beginning. After the first cycle it seems to taper off so much it's nearly not noticeable on cold days.
* In many positions of the front seats, the seatbelt doesn't retract all the way because it gets stuck between the seat and the side.

Regulations were implemented to comply with Federal law years ago. The rules require the warning in all cars from the time it is started. New rules will also require the same for the rear seats. Ford is following the law — they have zero choice in the matter. Fasten your seatbelt before starting if the beep bothers you.

Is this for certain? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen washer fluid trailing down my front grille (GT) after using the windshield wipers. It’s pretty prominent where I live since the moisture disrupts the layer of dust from our dirt roads.

Even in MY23 it was not present.
