My PTS requires permissions for each VIN I lookup. I am not getting OTA connected vehicle info for my own VINs. I doubt I'd have better luck with somebody else's VIN. I'm on a 72hr license.
Understand, thanks. I'll have my contacts check tomorrow when everyone is back to work.

Maybe they are just modifying 22S41 to put a more applicable/issue-specific message on screen and making it so the applicable error codes can't be cleared by dealers without changing out the part.
That would require an IPC update which isn't the same module and wouldn't require a rework of the modules involved in the recall. Also the DTC thrown is specific to the HVBJB so regardless of what is displayed, behind the scenes it's a specific code.

No one knows yet. We assume it does. But It's too early to tell. From what I know, the new part is supposed to be spec'd wayyyyyy above what the car will draw power wise.
Maybe they'll raid the Lightning parts bin for more capable contactors....

Are there now two groups of people: those who don’t have the recall “fix” installed and those who do? And in the latter category it seems there are a few who received it via OTA and those who installed it themselves. So will dealers still put in new HVBJBs in those who get the SSN message (or whatever it is now called) from the recall software?

2 groups - yes, but there's always 2 groups unless you have 100% saturation.

Replacing the HVBJB - should still be the same. No one has seen any documentation or dealer notice saying otherwise yet.

I'm sure Ford Engineering is going to be very involved in every incident concerning the HVJB and will be adjusting their responses based on feedback and testing.

Anyone DM'ing me to run VINs ... I'm not ignoring you but FDRS is not operational at this time. Every Sunday they do maintenance so I will get to those when Ford lets me.
For anyone DMing VINs for general update lookups, I would strongly recommend posting to the lookup thread instead. I still get a lot of requests via DM, which I always get to, but it may be a couple days before I have my laptop out. The update thread usually gets answered in less than an hour, if that.

I think originally we were all guilty of seeing BECM available and just saying they had the recall available. I know @Mike G knows what to look for now.

Most of the people DMing me are looking to see what versions they have. So if you post in the update thread specify what your are looking for. Updates vs installed versions.

@DevSecOps as you likely know, just about everybody in my build week gang thread except me had their cars held for the recall to be applied. My car arrived earlier than expected so I lucked out.

If you want easy pickings for VINs that likely did have the recall applied, you could put a request in our build-week thread: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/5-2-22-build-week-gang.16349/page-40

Or, if you've already got plenty of those data points, then never mind.

I still don't believe Ford will proactively replace the hardware. They are probably just tuning the software parameters to reduce false positives and a new version will be in FDRS soon. The new version will be tested on the road by the early adopters and so on.
The thing I am curious about is what instructions will be given to the dealers regarding addressing the DTC. I am worried that "clear the code and the car is ok if it doesn't come back immediately" will become the official service procedure.

Full throttle and charging performance kit? Enables MME owners to drive up hills, use the accelerator pedal or charge their cars without causing damage.

I just came back from 2000mi+ road trip through all kinds of varying grades and temps (cal route 1) - didn't get the chance to apply the safety update prior to the trip (will drop a post on the trip)

The car worked flawlessly with not a single issue. Did multiple fast charges on different networks. The only thing that I avoided was open pedal events (must admit that it sucked not being able to try it on some roads - damn it Ford!)

Best of luck with your trip!
@dlk9312, is your Route 1 RWD or AWD?

It was never OTA. It was just an update. But it can confuse many people who see it and think it's the Recall Software because it's the same modules. In FDRS unless you specifically look for the version number to compare it you'll never really know what you are updating.

Wasn't that the case with the B part already? ?
