Just picked up my car today after having this software update performed. I'm at an Electrify America fast charging station now. I had been charging at around 75 kw from 50-80%. Once it hit 80% it dropped to about 44kw (previously it would drop way down to 12-15 kw). I guess this is a good improvement but my question is should it have remained at ~75 kw? Or is the drop to 44 kw expected even after the update?
That's the same experience that I had, 40-50kw 80-90% 20-25kw 90-100%

that is expected. If you look at @Mach-E VLOG's video it includes the statistics from the OBD2 port including temperature. If you notice the temp starts to creep up after 80% and he even mentions that the cooling pumps kick on even though the air temps are in the 40's. I would expect that in the heat of summer it will probably drop lower than 45kw at 80% because of battery heating.

I scheduled an appointment with my dealer yesterday to have the updates done, I was shocked at how far out appointments are?

Anyone else experiencing this?

I am not getting the roof or windshield done, but when I inquired they told me they are not doing them right now since replacement parts are backordered. Mainly if the windshield breaks you are going to been in for a long wait.

Every dealership is different. I can get in in 2 to 4 days.

44 is exactly what others have posted. Was 14 prior.

Highly recommend calling to make your appointment. Make sure their EV tech is on duty when they schedule you for. Make sure they don’t have a single bay devoted to EV’s that will already be in use. Scheduling online just books their next available spot, not necessarily the time they can fix your EV.

Guess I should have said this as well, but I made the appointment directly with the service manager over the phone. I asked why so far out and the answer was that they are jammed packed busy right now.

Nothing to do with temperature. Started charging mine @ 80% SoC and it immediately started off at 36+ kW, and then slowly climbed to 44kW once the pack warmed up. The front radiator flaps opened from time to time after the pack was warm (seems like maybe it "overshot" the target temperature?), but never did it seem like it was throttling due to temps.

When I scheduled me I asked what parts are needed? They tell me the gadget for the glass roof gets replaced not reused

Mine went on the 29th for 21P22 and the Roof recall (no windscreen recall on mine).

Software update failed on the 29th and disabled the car. It was escalated to Ford Technical and has now been escalated to a Ford software engineer. They told me I could take the car but wouldn't have most of the systems - yikes

I'm not touching that car until they fix it. Going to be at least another 3 days they think.

There have been several people who have had these updates applied that the dealer did not apply all of the updates.

Ford is extremely clear on the instructions how to do the updates but dealer techs are just ignorant or lazy and do not complete them yet still bill Ford the full 1.3 hours of labor.

If you'd like the dealer to show proof that they updated the modules you can ask the service advisor to log into PTS (they'll know what this is) and put your vin in. Once they do that have them go to the "Diagnostics" tab then select "Vehicle history". Drill down on the day that the work was done and it will show a list of all software updates completed by the tech. You can then compare the 21P22 list on the first page of this thread to that the dealer updated.

Too bad people have to do this but I have now seen 4 people that have had this same issue.

An interesting thing I’ve noticed since getting the updates is the lack of hum now when charging with the 110 plug at home. Not sure why trickle charging would have gotten quieter, nor did I think there was an issue with the humming before, was kinda like a cat purring ?

Probably fixed the purring because it's a Mustang not a Cougar

They used to run the coolant pump full blast while charging now it ramps up as needed.
