I don't think you should need to re-setup PaaK. My iPhone auto updated the app and this evening when I walked to my car it started displaying the welcome lights while I was about 10 feet away (only phone, no key in my pocket). I had no problem opening or driving the car either.
Same with android - updated this morning, went to the car and it worked.

Same for me. Now, I will be looking at faster response times when I walk up and press the door buttons. With .19.x, there was always a long delay if the car had been sitting for a few hours.

Not just you, I was just thinking the same thing today. My app has become very unreliable this past week.
I think it has something to do with little car updates they do on a regular basis then degradation of the app. Just my thought. I experienced no key detected more in the last week. It seems they did some tweaks or updates to the car because I notice setting changes to the car one morning after I could not get in the car had to use the keypad. My profile was still there but changes were made and the no key detected came up almost every day since.

There is another thread where an owner questioned whether CarPlay could be causing issues with PAAK. My PAAK has been more reliable since deactivating CarPlay. Last night, I activated CarPlay again (and updated the PASS app) and this morning, when I walked up to the car (app running, phone in hand) NOTHING. Just saying...

I just wiped my PAAK settings last night, we'll see how it goes with Wireless CarPlay enabled.

If things go to shit again, I'll use wired CarPlay and see if there is any difference.

Haven’t had issues with PAAK and wireless CarPlay. Most PAAK issues are on the phone side

I'm that owner, and I'm still pretty sure Wireless CarPlay is the culprit. Not 100% sure, but pretty sure, particularly since the Ford Power-UP that allowed Apple Maps access to the Mach-e battery state.

More likely Bluetooth limitations than CarPlay on its own. I saw no difference since the maps update and that was before I had my RFA Module updated.

After sleeping for 8 hours, the car woke up and was ready to get right in when I left work today. First time in a couple of weeks that has happened. I use wireless CarPlay a lot and do not feel that it is causing any issues. Problems I have had with the car has come down to either an app issue or getting the internal software updated at the dealer.

Well, let's see how this does. So, do we need to remove and re-setup PAAK to get the reliability improvements? And this update still doesn't fix the issue in iOS if you're using the zoomed display option. Start button is so small you can't use it and you lose access to the trunk-open button.

Hmmm i used a zoomed display and my start button is much larger
