I went with the 2-1/2" caps and moved it to be closer to over the jump posts.

.... FWIW, I did not remove any of the plastic shrouding. I just lined up the holes by sight based on other people's pictures and used a two-inch hole saw. Easy-peasy.

I used 2.5" caps from Amazon (for a 2" diameter hole).

Also off-set from directly over contacts. Allows for larger clamps easy access (clamp size is approx 6.3" x 4.3").

I'm pretty sure that's a typo. The cap size would be the same size as the hole that was drilled.

Those caps require a 2 1/2" hole. I purchased those and performed the mod a few weeks ago.

FWIW: These 2.5" caps fit very snugly. I have removed the caps a number of times with only my fingers in warm weather. Recently, in frigid weather, I had to use a pry tool .

I took needle-nose plyers and pushed the tabs in. I also did a gentle sanding of the plastic thickness to remove burrs. They seem to be OK for me and hopefully won't rattle in the summer. ?

I moved the hole location a bit from the template to improve access to the jump points and avoid the crossbar.

I'm able to use my Ford Pass points, don't have much else to use them on, so why not! I just whiffed it with my hole saw... lol. Oh well, live and learn!
