Curious as well. I'd like to hear an explanation from @Ford Motor Company when they identify issues with the cells to know if it's a manufacturing defect, software issue with the parameters of the packs or some other issue. Battery safety and reliability is a big thing with these EVs and with LG having some bad press recently there should be some updates to restore consumer confidence.

@Mopey @Lebutor @westcoastg8r @vulpes out of curiosity, when were your MMEs built? Mine and @LadyGator were December 2020. Curious if it's a bad batch of battery packs then or something else entirely (e.g. summer heat, not charging for 2 weeks, etc.).

Built 1st week of Jan 21. It is a 2nd FE at a second home in Seattle and has been driven only 1000 miles. The errors occurred after a short 30 minute Level 2 charge after car hadn’t been driven for 6 weeks. Have been waiting to see what is discovered by others with same alerts before having it serviced. The second FE here in AK, and built only a few days after the first, has been perfect.

Ford Mustang Mach-E MME high voltage battery issues? 1627886126665

The last two errors cleared on startup but all attempts to clear the first three have been unsuccessful.

In Canada, British Columbia. Got the Service Vehicle Soon warning after driving for only two months (2500 KMs so roughly 1500 miles). Portions of the battery had to be replaced, which took almost two months. All good now!

Just got this today and I’ve only had my car for a week and half! At about 400 miles. I pulled over and it took a couple restarts to clear.

I’m lucky that it did since this was my first road trip and I was far from home. Scary for me and my friends… worst of all is now I can’t trust my car.

Actually I found in the manual that it indirectly states it should be plugged in when below freezing and above 113F. See page 149 in the manual regarding Storage Temperature. For my Bolt, GM recommends below freezing and above 90F.

I can also tell you that when the temperature display on the Mach E goes above 110 in Phoenix, it tells me to plug the car in due to high temps. That said, the temperature displayed is typically 10 deg higher than actual and temps in Phoenix summers are always above 100, so I get that message every day.

Our FE (3700 miles no high voltage warnings yet) is in the shop currently with body damage on the front end when an airborne paddle board flew off an on coming car and hit the lower front facia. The radiator for battery cooling was also punctured and lost fluid . We're in Oregon and we will be getting Temps in the 100's later this week , my concern is the car can't be plugged in and could very easily get to 120 parked in the sun in there lot . Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks .....Dave

I'm sure the data is skewed a bit being on this forum and on the post, but currently it looks like there's a 12% "yes I've had HV battery issues" so far, out of 93 total votes. That's a big percentage and very concerning

Yep, definitely an interesting and concerning trend. I'm sure there's other folks out there that haven't voted yet so percentages are probably a bit skewed (in both directions), but would love @Ford Motor Company to chime in with root cause. Hopefully it's not the same issues that GM was facing with their batteries recently... I believe they were LG Chem as well.

The sample size is far too small to draw a meaningful conclusion.
