Congrats on your trade-in. A few questions;I traded in my Mach-e for a 2023 Cadillac Lyriq. I was lucky to be able to purchase a demo model. So far I miss the puddle lights and I really miss PAAK. I was afraid I was going to have to give up one-pedal, but fortunately the Lyriq's one-pedal driving works really well.
I hope that when I next purchase a Mach-e that there are significant improvements.
$48.5K. 2023 Lyriq Luxury AWDhow much did you get the lyriq for? i only saw the trade-in value not the lyriq cost? and for what spec?
1) Does it have SuperCruise? If so, how does it compare to Blue Cruise?Congrats on your trade-in. A few questions;
1) Does it have SuperCruise? If so, how does it compare to Blue Cruise?
2) How does charging speed compare to the Mach-E?
3) How are the rear blindspots? The C-pillar design looks extremely thick.
4) Do you miss having a rear wiper?
I used to have a Lyriq reservation but cancelled due to some of the above concerns.
I was watching an episode of Hoove's garage and he traded in his cyber truck for a lyric he seems to be happy with it.I traded in my Mach-e for a 2023 Cadillac Lyriq. Why not ship your MME to Oahu and have Ford reimburse the costs? Just a thought from one islander to another...My car, an early 2021 job 1, has three NHTSA safety recalls. There is one dealer on this island, they sold me the car brand new. They’re steadfastly refusing to do the HVBJB recall and have stated too both me and Ford corporate personnel that they will not do the recall as they’re to busy with Lightnings to work on an mme and don’t foresee any point in the future where they could perform the recall. For the other two recalls they just refuse. They’ve told me to talk to Ford as it’s not their problem.
A complaint was filed with the NHTSA. Ford, at various levels and offices, has gotten involved. Neither Ford, nor the NHTSA has been able to make the dealer budge. It’s my understanding that there were allocation cuts to the dealer for this year because of this. The answer is still no.
My options are to sell or sue. Neither are good options;
I would put the Lyriq somewhere between the two. It has a quiet compliant ride like the i4 but is more wagon-like (more space and longer wheelbase) like the MME.We have an i4 40eDrive (RWD 18" wheels) as well as our MME. I love them both. The i4 is quieter, has a bit more range and drives like a BMW!
Unfortunately , I’ve also been ghosted by Ford now. That is an option, Young Brothers has a great round trip deal for Hilo-HNL-Hilo car shipments (just slightly more than the one way fee). The caveat is that the return needs to be within 30 days of the initial shipping date. I’d have to coordinate that closely with Honolulu Ford to make it happen and that might also need Ford’s cooperation. Sadly, I’m not alone in this. There are several other job 1 2021’s in the same boat.Why not ship your MME to Oahu and have Ford reimburse the costs? Just a thought from one islander to another...![]()
And Apple CarPlay:Wasn't BMW the one that wanted to charge a subscription for heated seats?
Edit: yeah, that was BMW: https://www.theverge.com/2022/7/12/23204950/bmw-subscriptions-microtransactions-heated-seats-feature
Yes it is.Not really the right thread but it was mentioned.....with the new GM No Android Auto or Carplay initiative, is Waze one of the apps you can download through GM's new system (Android Automotive?)?
None of their subscription plans have gone anywhere.Wasn't BMW the one that wanted to charge a subscription for heated seats?
