It’s the same number but they updated the text, it’s in one of these threads
Yes, but I cannot access the text, or at least I don’t know how. How do I get the actual document?

I think he's referring to another post from the thread we're replying in.

Here is the full document:

And over here, I've been trying my best to keep a complete archive of manufacturer communications for the 2021 Mustang Mach-E:

It's possible the "update" is a separate service message and not actually an update to the 2117 text.

The 2117 document already does indicate use of Trendnet or similar adapters:

Mini B 5 Pin Female Adapter, Rotunda Part# CCMUSB-AF-BF5 or equivalent (Mach-E and F-150 vehicles with floor console)

USB 2 Cable - Male to Male, Rotunda Part# CCMUS2-AM-AM-10 or equivalent (All vehicles)

USB-to-Ethernet adapter, Trendnet TU2-ET100 USB2.0, Trendnet TU3-ETG USB 3.0, Startech USB31000S USB 3.0 or equivalent (All vehicles)

Ethernet cable assembly, obtain locally (All vehicles)

Yeah sorry, I haven’t had time to search, but I remember there was a notice that said it didn’t have to be the specific ones used in the special parts list

Update, just got the car back. Was already at dealer the day this came out. They worked with the Ford Tech Hotline to address "not getting OTA update and other software," which is why I took it there.

Apparently on Friday they had "completed all the updates" and were waiting on the tech line to get back to them about force pushing an OTA to my car to see if it would work. This was the claim.

I don't have my invoice/work write up, and didn't get specifics on what was done from the advisor either. She will close it out on Tuesday/Wednesday, waiting to see if I have any issues over the next few days.

I can tell they must have plugged in to the USB, because my own cable was removed and some items I had in that area had been cleared away. I also see some GUI changes. The vertical bar with "OK" on popups in the IPIC. A blue "X' on the car icon in top left when I go to change the drive modes or other settings. However, I still do not see my current Ford Power-Up version on the system update screen. Pics attached.

You will only get release notes and a previous Power-Up if you get the update OTA. Yours was loaded from FDRS so that's expected. The fact that you see changes in Sync (the x in the top left) means your APIM was updated and you are out of 1.7.1 purgatory. Congratulations!

Had a feeling it may be something like that. The visible on-screen changes were definitely a great sign. Appreciate the reply! w00t!! "Purgatory" haha, apt!

Good sign, Nav! Now I know where to take mine if the dealer can’t get it right on Monday.

They applied the APIM update (also in Power-Up 2.3.0), IPC update (also in Power-Up 2.4.3) and possibly other updates in FDRS. The updates could be at later revisions.

Some other things to check.
What is your Sync 4A Software Version?
Does the car have faster DC charging over 80% (about 43kW just above 80% rather than the steep drop to 11kW).
