All kidding aside: built in nav.
This had me dying. Life with out gps or cell phones had to have a map for ever city and plan a new location you never been too. Taught me how to remember locations by memory.

reminders me how no one memorizes phone numbers anymore. I lost my cell phone oh no I lost all my contacts ?

I only use google map or apple
Maps if I’m going to a new location I don’t know

I use Ford Nav on the vehicle and Waze on my phone mounted on the dash. They compliment each other perfectly.

Built-in nav for longer trips that require charging. Apple Maps around town (easier since I just click on my calendar and it takes me directly to the directions, as opposed to having to type it into the built-in nav). Both have worked flawlessly for me, and have helped me avoid closures and traffic jams that happen every weekend around the PHX highways.

I've bounced between Apple Maps and Google Maps via CarPlay. They both have a few advantages and disadvantages. I'm currently using Google Maps because I like the way it displays alternative routes and the difference in time and tolls. Great stuff around the DFW metro area. Apple Maps has the SOC and charger routing integrated, so I'd definitely use that for a road trip. I really disliked the Sync4 maps the few times I've used them.

Well, even for old(ish) fart I get on best with Apple Maps on iPhone via CarPlay.

Never got on with any car maker’s own satnav system which I have tried, always find them clunky, not very intuitive and their interfaces always seem poor to me in comparison.

I tried to understand Android, and I have some VERY expensive professional diagnostic kit which runs on Android which I can never manage to even half understand or operate easily.

It may be because I went iPhone route from start rather than Android which I’m sure those conversant with Android will say same about Android that I say about iPhone & Apple IOS etc

And my iPhone preference all in spite that I’ve never been able to use AppleMac etc in business because all business in (my) world is on Windows based systems.

I expect it’s all down to personal preference??ā€ā™‚

Whatever your preference, enjoy it in your ā€˜Stang?

Apple Maps.

While I don’t use it for EV routing (finding charging locations), I do like that it displays what my SOC will be when I arrive at my destination. I like how the lane guidance feature works and the map clearly displays stop signs and lights which is easy for me to see. Also, the police speed trap feature has saved my butt a few times along with displaying speed/red light cameras in intersections. I use it quite a bit internationally for walking directions and navigating cities in the AR view is very helpful. The detailed indoor maps of shopping malls and airports are great when you are not familiar with them.

I’m sure other map services (Waze, Google, etc.) have their pros and cons. I’ve been using Apple Maps for over 10 years and have just stuck to what I’m used to

I always have Waze up because of the alerts, even when not actively using nav.

I honestly go back and forth on which one to use. For our one ā€œlongā€ trip we’ve done so far when I needed to DCFC I used the Ford Nav, it worked out with no issues.

Sometimes I’m forced to use Ford Nav because my phone has no reception nearby my home.

I use Apple Maps exclusively for in town and road trips. I follow its recommendations for charger’s locations, but double check them on PlugShare. I like the Siri interface in case I needed to insert a stop while driving. Keep it simple.

I switch back and forth between AA and built in nav throughout rush hour drives.

I prefer Google's traffic aware routing to Ford's. And its awareness of my calendar and habits. Ford's nav can't seem to remember my work and home locations without corrupting other info.

I prefer Ford's interface for the aesthetics, better highlighting of backed up traffic issues, interaction smoothness, and lots less heat generated on my phone.

Yes, phones are like language. If you grew up speaking one language then that language is what you like to use. All languages are good and easy if that's what you learn from the beginning. Switching to new language is always hard.

I really want to use ford navigation to get the range estimate revision and dcfc preconditioning, but it's just terrible! Makes me want to use Android auto instead :(
As wild as this is going tot sound.. my wife and I actually use apple maps... If you have the current and mot recent updated software, its actually quite nice. Its been more efficient than google maps on numerous occasions. And, its even built in an estimated battery percentage upon arrival when you set a destination in. At first i was skeptical of the estimated battery percentage.. but after numerous road trips, its actually dead on; give-or-take a percentage or two.

I use Apple Maps because I like the interface. I think it is cleaner and easier to consume than Google's.

Unless we're going somewhere remote or without paved roads, sometimes these don't even appear in Apple Maps, so I switch to Google Maps.

Ford Navigation is just too ugly and looks so busy. I used it only once.

Around town and 90% of long trips, I use Google Maps (with satellite view) via AA. I like seeing what things really look like around me. Wish AA/Google maps had integration for SOC and charging, have to switch to internal nav for that (which, for me, works quite well).

I use Waze daily.

On a trip, I used the Ford navigation, but have Waze on my screen so it can warn about speed traps and other issues on the road, and switched to Ford nav a couple of miles before the freeway exit or other significant turn.

Ah! Especially for old (ish) stick-in-the-muds like me?
