How many times do you think you can run over your ESVE cord?

So far I've done it 3 times in the last month because my wife has gotten lazy about hanging it up on the wall and I can't see over my damn hood! I now have to use my 360 camera to check my garage parking space :( Thankfully I have the camera, some don't.
I was uncomfortable dropping the garage door on the cord slung out the garage, but that's worked fine for me for nearly 12 years. 5000lb pony though.. I know it's really not good.

Is that the Included EVSE? People talk smack about it, but it’s serving me well. I also don’t run over the cable tho.

Mounted on the same side as the charge port. So if/when I disconnect, even if I was too lazy to stow it properly, it wouldn't be in the path of the car.

I have 2 EV’s, I thought I had a good plan lol. It worked for many many a year.

the one I’m running over is my Emporia’s. I have 2 other cables if need be but I’d just get another Emporia if needed.
Which brings me back to the fact there should be a way to recycle a lot of the copper out of these I’d think, but so far I haven’t found a way.

I never pull in without turning the camera on. Never.

Don't think running over it is ever a good idea. Fortunately it's mounted on the same side as the charge port so it's not an issue, the only other vehicle in the garage is my motorcycle. That said, I'm pretty laze and actually leave the cable on the floor with the head laying on my lawn mower next to the car.

My handle goes in a 5 gallon bucket. Cord is clearly visible on the camera.

Erik, there are many here that have some type of a cable retractor system with hooks, pulleys and springs attached to their ceilings, etc. I tried looking for the thread where several photos have been posted of these but can't seem to find it. I went a different route and purchased a couple of Emporia's EV cable retractors for my two Emporia chargers. They are very heavy duty and seem to be well made. Have had them going on two years with no issues.

While I would always try to avoid running over the cable, I think that running straight over it with a rubber tire is unlikely to cause any damage.

My home is older with exposed roof joists in the garage. I draped my cord over a convenient joist so it does not hang on the ground. Had a fear of tripping over the cable. After use I coil it around the hook provided with the EVSE.

This garage is cleaner and more organized than some hospital rooms I've seen.

I put mine on the ceiling with hooks and then a tool balancer for the plug end. Keeps it out of the way.
