You need to add a choice on the poll: Turn it in and get a new/better EV when the Options or Lease Financing runs out.

I love my my MachE (looking past 2x failed HVJB and a bum camera cable) and it is the best car I ever had but will be ready to give her up at the end of 4 years...

I want to get the T3 truck in 2025 (assuming that is when it comes out) which is when my 4-year options financing is up and I will turn in the car. I want to hold out for the native NACS ports in 2025 on whatever I get but am really needing a truck in 2024 and thinking about the Lightning Flash.

Until a solid state, bi-directional, AWD, functionable/usable car or crossover EV is available.
Who knows? After a century we finally have (primitive) "EVs".
Or two months/2,000 miles shy of warranty.

Agreed! What would be a smart move by Ford would be:
1. Come up with a “plus” version of the MachE, like GT motors In a premium, with a standard tow hitch, front tie hook and low-scale tow rating;
2. Everything in #1 but lifted with a couple of additional inches of ground clearance and a hardened battery cover for a true off-road AWD capability
3. A Lincoln version of the MachE with a luxury interior and tech package to compete with the BMW and Mercedes Benz class vehicles.

This will never happen, it would be too smart to do this.
I think the lack of a tow bar is a really big miss. It would be very, very easy to add it as an option, since it is already an option in the EU. I had to put mine on myself, which was fine, but I would rather have had a stock version installed by Ford. And then I would feel better about towing. Right now I am only using the tow bar for my bike rack. It is a must have feature for me.

For #2 you basically described the 2024 Rally edition that’s coming out.

For #1, “GT motors in a premium” is a GT. Or are you saying you don’t want the better looking front end?

Sounds like you just want the European version (that has a slight tow rating).

#3 I believe has been planned for a while.

The back of the FOBs are interchangeable between F-150 and Mustang. So, I bought an F-150 FOB with the frunk button and swapped the back from my MME FOB.
I’m sort of weird (hahaha) - I prefer to keep things as close to “as it came from the factory as possible”, hence a factory fob with a mustang point would be ideal for me.

I expect we'll hit 200k miles a lot sooner than with any of our previous vehicles. As far as I can tell, there aren't any better BEVs with similar capabilities on the horizon, so I find it difficult to imagine giving up the Mustang.
Solid State with refinements landing '28 through '30 may shake up the market significantly and make our vehicles look like a horse and buggy. But "we'll see", it still a very capable machine and I intend to drive it into the ground.

Will look to trade up to another Mach-E when available with the NACS plug. :)
Because one more adapter in my fleet of adapters is UNACCEPTABLE . Especially one I have to pay $200 for; unlocking half the chargers in north america for a 40k++ car, $200 dollars (or 3 months of blue cruise) is an UNACCEPTABLE price. I'll buy a new car instead.

:)

100k, I'm 1/3rd of the way there.
Or until I get tired of working on the suspension
Or until I actually get the suspension dialed in for roughly the same cost as a GTPE
Or until my, bought 2 weeks ago, 8/100k ESP runs out
Or until I get a decent offer on it for a GTPE
Or until there is something better for not $100k+

I piss and moan about this car a lot. I did the same with my FFE. AND yet, I bought 2 FFE's and have over 160K worth of miles on them. It also has charging 'issues' by the inability to set decent charge times that REQUIRED it to go past midnight. It's modem is dead now, but it randomly resets to value charge times I set 7 years ago because it can't talk to the old Ford App so when I delete the value times it randomly resets to the ones from 7 years ago. For the last 4 years I had to reset the car with a 13mm wrench every 2 months so it WOULD value charge, now I DON"T want it to and it does. And I still have it. The MME and it's charging shitshow will probably remain with me for another 7 years as well lol.

My intent has always been, and still is, to keep the Smurfmobile until Ford builds an EV Mustang coupe. At that point, I’ll decide if I keep the Mach-E for poor weather or send it along down the road.

I am keeping forever but couldnt resisit the job 1 frunk vote lol. 2021 Mach E already up to 85k. Ford ESP up to 150k or 10 yrs so will keep up to that point at least. Have an EV Silverado on order (for the 400 mile range) and will still keep Mach E for daily driver.

I will have 50K miles by the end of this year on my 21 Premium. I’m eyeing the R!S but not 100% sold on it. looks like they have issues too. Go figure. I would like the extra space and it’s definitely something different. I'm a bit bored with my MME at this point. I figure by the time the R!S actually comes in I’ll be around 75K plus.
Also interested in the R1S but a bit wary. I like the size and would love to replace my Jeep with that..but I think some good improvements would make it better. For one....include car play! Stubbornly, Rivian won't do it.

2 years and 24K miles so far. (21 job 1) No plans to change it out at the minute.

However, software changes everything... so a lot depends on what they do with software support over the next year or two and what bugs are ignored or newly created at that time. My expectation is that they will continue to do small refinements through at least 24... as the modules are still in new production cars. We will see... When I sense that the car has finally become a time capsule I'll take a harder look at what alternatives exist and whether I can live with it "as is" long term at that time.

On top of OTA, I do FDRS updates ~3 times a year.
What is an FDRS update?
