I just called my dealer to setup an appointment for the software upgrade. They said they do not have the fix yet. They apparently are also very anxious to get the fix as they have 5 MME's on the lot that are sold but they can't deliver them because they are awaiting the upgrade. The service person told me I need to wait for a letter in the mail from the Ford Recall department before calling them to make an appointment. He said I will not receive any notifications via FordPass. Not consistent with what I have read on this forum.
You could mention that they should have received an e-mail yesterday with the information. Hate to even suggest it but they may not have opened it to see what it contained.

No appreciable difference driving to work today after applying the updates. Got on it a few times. Performance seems unchanged.

You will lose some of your settings afterwards FYI.

FDRS was a real pain getting some of the updates to work, required multiple reinstalls.

I would assume that If the software update detects some unspecified number of overheating events, then a request to schedule service will be displayed. I would expect the dealer will replace the HVBJB during this service.
Basically the software will monitor contactor health and request a replacement if it detects failing contacts. I don't know this for a fact, just my engineering guess.
It could do these things... we have no indication from the documentation that any any notice is given when power is reduced.

I ran PCM first and it pulled everything else in. No issues. Nothing else to run (of the powertrain modules at least). Just make sure you don't haphazardly run other things out of order and you shouldn't have trouble. (Just did it 45 minutes ago!)

Thanks RickMachE. I am following up with my salesperson to let him know what the service department told me compared to what we are discussing in this forum. I will ask to speak with the GM to let them know what happened. Unfortunately as of this moment I have not yet received any notice on FordPass. I would think that every VIN affected would have gotten the notice by now?

Owner letters are to be mailed in a week, I'd assume they'll try and match the FordPass notices to that.

Not one has received a notice in FordPass, no. Not a single car.

uh huh... or they would like to avoid spending $Millions
All carmakers are the same..

GM tried to fix the Bolt battery fires with a software fix. Hyundai/Kia tried to fix their oil-guzzling seizing engines with a knock sensor software fix... the engines still seized (less frequently though) and needed to be replaced. $1.3B settlement and still ongoing (now there are engine fires).

At the dealer right now getting mine installed. Would not have been able to do this without this forum and the OP’s heads-up!

I did all the updates this morning with no issues. I did have to reset 1-Pedal, Home charging location and to stop asking about the motion sensors. Also had to relearn the TPMS but did that by driving and they reset within a few minutes of driving. I also have a TCU update to do and downloading the software onto USB is taking forever.

All of my OTA’s have come over cellular net.
Oh crap. Cell service sucks audibly (you can actually hear the suctioning sound) in my garage. That's why I put a WIFI router/repeater near the garage. Is this going to keep me from getting, like, any updates, um, ever???

Any driving performance reports from a GT trim level owner post update?

This software update impacts all trim levels when it comes to DCFC, but likely only impacts the larger motor trims (i.e. GT, GTPE) when it comes to driving performance.

I'd offer one, but I'm waiting on a HVBJB replacement myself.

Has not updated since 2.6 (2.7.1?) here in early February but we are slow up here. Watched that update download thru my router/Lan so I would say you should be good.
