Maybe for the Lightning, but it still only takes 2 clicks for the MME.

I'm trying to get one of these fobs. My local Ford parts dept. couldn't find anything with either part number from the first post, but I'm reaching out to another that is the best local dealer for parts. (The online sources remain out of stock, sadly.) {Jonathan}

Has anyone tried the F150 fob that has the remote tailgate and remote start button (remote start is in place of the frunk button).

Anyone have a Mach-E and Lightning they can test that fob out with? Obviously, I'd love to have the trunk, frunk, and remote start all in one fob!

I don't think there are enough physical spots for all three of those and the emergency panic button. Also, I don't think any Mach-E has a remote start button. I tried an ICE Mustang fob, and it didn't work for what it is worth.

You could. But it's a lot easier to just get a domestic 5-button fob if you really care about the trunk button picture. You could even just get the fob shell if it's just the button that you're after. Here's one that would work, though the font looks a little janky to me.

FYI anyone going this route, fairly easy to pop out the button: push in on the little tab holes, pry apart gently and presto, extra buttons. Now I just need the Lightning one back in stock.

The remote start FOBs use a bi-directional communication at a different frequency. Unfortunately, the Mach E doesn't have that hardware.

You can use the hatch button from the escape.

I have one of these if anyone wants to buy it. Also have 0 appetite for needing the 2x button if i ever get the Lightning fob.

Got the lightning key fob using FordPass rewards from my dealer. Took 2 days to get it. Had 44,000 rewards which was worth $220. Still paid $26 for the key (doubt they’ll stay that expensive once they get more in circulation). Took me a bit to program…. It just wasn’t working so I deleted the keys from our profiles, tried again and it worked.
Such a useful key for those of us who use the trunk regularly! Thanks to those who are willing to try and then report your findings!!!

also, I ordered a personalized leather key cover off Etsy and gave him this image (photoshopped) to make the cover with! I’ll post it once I get it.

Finally did this yesterday. I had an ICE mustang key with remote start that I had no use for but I actually programmed to my super duty since I had it. I swapped the back plates with this key and the lightning key and swapped the tail gate drop button with hatch open button. Now I have two keys that look factory. One for The Mach e with frunk button that works and an extra for my truck!

I ordered two from my local Ford dealer at two separate times. Both times they came in the next day. Only issue is, they are very expensive ordering from a dealer. I have a friend in Arizona that ordered from his dealer and got it in one day also.
