Isn't option 3 and 5 the same? I'm pretty sure that rust will tear us apart before there will be a working frunk button (They even gave me FOBs with a frunk button - 2 years ago).

Just bought in February and we'll probably switch out in 3-5 years after most of our extra coverage ends and there are better options... Plus by then Ford should have their three row vehicle out.

Another 3yrs more or less. I'm north of 62xxx at this point so I'm sure I'll see 100xxx+ before I move on

I'm trying to imagine what new features will be so appealing to me that I'll want to switch. Flying would be one of them for sure...

Going in with a 3 year lease. Technology is moving far too fast for me to lock into things longer term.

Hopefully long enough to hand the car down to our son (he'll be 9 in Oct.). If anything, my Explorer will get traded in for an electric SUV/CUV/truck, but too many variables between now and then thus wait and see.

At least until whatever the V2.0 vehicle comes out, then I’ll reassess.

2 years and 24K miles so far. (21 job 1) No plans to change it out at the minute.

However, software changes everything... so a lot depends on what they do with software support over the next year or two and what bugs are ignored or newly created at that time. My expectation is that they will continue to do small refinements through at least 24... as the modules are still in new production cars. We will see... When I sense that the car has finally become a time capsule I'll take a harder look at what alternatives exist and whether I can live with it "as is" long term at that time.

On top of OTA, I do FDRS updates ~3 times a year.

I expect we'll hit 200k miles a lot sooner than with any of our previous vehicles. As far as I can tell, there aren't any better BEVs with similar capabilities on the horizon, so I find it difficult to imagine giving up the Mustang.
Ditto, and why would I want to give this up, the very best works van I’ve ever had!!!!!

Load up the pony, tie it up at the ABB hayrack tonight, we gooin’ on 450 hunt for insurance fraudsters tomorrow, hi-ho big red, and away!

I love the MME. It has instant power, handles, is quiet and has most of the "bells and whistles" that are wanted. We (wife and I) tend to keep our cars well past their prime. The MME replaced my 1997 VW Jetta GLS. Our other car is a 2011 Lincoln MKZ hybrid. We will retire in less than 10 years so the MME will be just under 10 years old, a baby. We will probably go to just the MME in retirement.

You mean you’re not going to wait for the frunk release? 😱🐩

I have no clue how many cars I have owned. Too many Firebirds and Tempest/Le Mans to shake a stick at. A few Grands Prix, a sprinkling of Cadillacs, and a handful of Celicas. Most of these were not keepers, but were toys. I have had a few long-term cars. Those I kept quite some time. My ‘79 T/A was bought new. I kept the dragon (‘71 Celica) for 18 years. My ‘72 Blazer I bought in ‘99. My Fiero I kept for 12 years. You get the gist. I tend to keep my keepers a while. I probably won’t replace the ‘21 MME for a while after Gen2 comes out. Maybe not until Gen3 is out a few years. 🤷‍♂️🐩

right now the plan is roughly 8 years. I am trying to keep my cars 3-4 years apart in age. I am planning on replacing my other car sometime next year or early 2025 and have the Mach E go until like 2029 or 2030
