More likely to be 4.2.6 which included SOBDM on-board charger software.

Has anybody with charge rate issues tried doing a 12V reset to see if that resolves it?
I have not. Just disconnect the 12v battery? Or is there a fuse to pull?

I don't have 4.2.6 though.
I can do the 12v reset but won't know until Saturday night if it did anything. (I'm assuming it's just pulling the neg terminal.)

Not yet, I'd be very surprised if that's all that was needed. I'm going to wait for Ford to figure this out or at least bring it to the dealer and have them figure it out so that at least we can get a TSB for the others who are having this issue. I also have a couple of other things I want them to check I am just going to wait.

It's not necessarily 4.2.6. if anything, it is the DCFC update they released that caused this.

Looks like my replacement EVSE will be in on Thursday so I can try it with the battery reset, old and new EVSE. With the 10 min reset do I end up losing presets etc or is the profile an actual profile no days?

Just to throw more fuel on the fire. Job 1, Chargepoint Flex set for 48A before the setting went away...

And i'm seeing the "charge for 5 min, give up and stop" issue. Nothing else changed, and before a couple of weeks ago things were fine. I have seen the red ring going... When I do get it to charge, I do see it dipping down to about 8kw and back up to just under 12kw

I guess I'm glad to see its a little more wide spread, despite there not being a fix.

Oh, one more data point... I don't think its the Chargepoint... its charging a plugin Fusion hybrid we have no problem, although, that only maxes out just under 4kw when its drawing power.

No, settings and presets are retained after the 12V reset.

so once again job1 gets screwed? cool

are you guys seeing it only above 6khw? my charger is at 5-6kwh and i have not seen it in my job1 with all of the latest updates
I’ll pull out my Ford Mobile Charger to check this. It may be next week before I have time.
I could also dial down my Connected Charge Station. If it happens to be online!

I have a 2022 GT

Every charge session up to 6/7/2023 looks like this:

Every charge session on and after 6/8/2023 looks similar to this:

What happened on June 8th? First Priority Update 23-PU0105-DC-CHG2 and then Ford Power-Up 4.2.6
I have the same behavior, 21 Job 2 (Aug 21 build) Premium 4ex. I looked back at my charging graphs and the behavior changed for me (at home) sometime between May 10 and May 22. I was on an extended trip during that time and I'm pretty sure I got updated during that trip. Since then, I seen the same style graph (Juicebox Pro 40) as the lower picture above. Note that I'm in CO at some altitude and its not warm here yet, so I don't think heat is the problem. Highest temp I've seen at home this year is still in the high-70's, and my garage is cooler than that.

I see the effect strongly at 40 A * 240 V, not at all at 32 A * 208 V, and just a bit at 32 A * 240 V. To be honest, the effect at 32 A * 240 V would likely have been missed if I hadn't been paying close attention.

(Yes, job-1 here. Frunk, frunk, frunk, etc.)

Adding my experience... Job 1 2021 First Edition. Had tons of software issues but those have been resolved finally and have gotten all OTAs and I'm current on 4.2.6 and recent DCFC update. I'm using ChargePoint Flex on 60A circuit for 48A delivered, in Florida where it's hot as hell. Anyway, I've always charged at 11KWH at home no issues for 2.5 years. After this last update, it starts out at 11KWH then throttles down to 8 KWH (per ChargePoint but Ford App says 7 KWH) or so and back up and down, but mostly down.

I also have a brand new Rivian R1S and that charges flat at 11KWH all night long no issues.

Would love to know if this is as Ford intended for whatever reason or if this needs to be fixed. Bit of a PITA for me because we share the one charger so sometimes we charge one car in the evening and swap out but now the charging is quite a bit slower, right?

I am also seeing the sawtooth charging pattern: 9.25 kw rate then 7 repeated on a 10 minute cycle on my Juice Box 40. I've never seen this in the 2 previous years. It started right after the 4.2.6 update. For how many years after we bought the car are we going have to worry about Ford f__king up our cars without telling us as they “improve” our cars?
