If you floor it you get full power, no matter which drive modeAnd why buy a Mustang if you’re going to drive it in whisper mode?

And car jackings cause them idiots cant drive a clutch.I blame automatic transmissions for people not immediately adopting 1PD. I also blame automatics for traffic jams, distracted driving, and the demise of Western civilization.
That's the #1 reason I don't like 1PD -- getting in/out of garages and parking spots. Those short little finesse movements are trickier without creep and a foot on the brake pedal. It was harder to inch forward just a little bit more in the garage (or a parking lot space), especially from a full stop.Unbridled 1pd - I prefer the steering wheel feeling with unbridled, and 1pd feels more natural now. The only exception - getting in and out of the garage, for that I'm more comfortable controlling the speed with the brake pedal in whisper mode. It is also set as the default and guest setting, in case my wife needs to drive it.
See? Automatic transmissions strike again! It's also counterintuitive. In a split-second moment of panic when you're inches from hitting the wall, the natural inclination is to press down in the pedal, not let up. I know people eventually get used to that, but I didn't really want to after 45 years of driving that way. Plus I have an ICE car too that I sometimes still drive.
I had a select used to drive it in Unbridled 1 pedal all the time. I traded it and got a GT (non-performance) and I almost think I like Engage 1 pedal better now. Just wondering what everyone uses.
Give it some time, and you'll get the hang of it for harder driving, too. It's tough to move your braking points closer to the turns, but you have to account for the mechanical lag of moving from gas to brake in your ICE by "braking" later. I catch myself fading the pedal too soon and entering a turn at my apex speed sometimes, which is way too slow. The good news is, it's more than made up for by being able to nail it coming out of the turn and be at exit speed just as soon as you point even a little bit straight. The fine control you can get by not having to switch pedals back and forth is fantastic. The 1 pd mode makes driving a unique and pleasurable experience. After 2 weeks of driving in 1 pedal mode my brain has incorporated the process and it feels autonomic now. If one drives a vehicle hard then 1 pd is not an asset but rather an impediment. I have taken the "Car Guys" advise and drive my vehicle gently. I enjoy owning and driving my Ford Mustang Mach e.

I agree. Twice. Does limit your ability to use valet parking, though. And car jackings cause them idiots cant drive a clutch.![]()
